Reducing Plastic Waste at School

Plastics
I feel we need to tackle the litter problem at school level.
I think that our school should reduce plastic and packaging.
By doing this it will help our school become a better
environment.

Also having containers and ziplock bags are better too
because we can reuse them for packaging of foods.
We could have nude foods as they provide no litter,
and would be great  for a worm farm and in the compost
bin.

The kind of nude foods you can eat are bananas, apples,
pears and mandarins. If your parents give you any
packaging foods, then tell them to put it in usable
containers and ziplock bags.

Another option at school level is to have separate bins for fruit
scraps, plastic, recycling and waste. We could educate our
kids to put their rubbish in the right bins. We could have different
coloured bins and also to put the labels on.

Our school should be rubbish free so that we have no litter
around.

Coding day at the Cordis Hotel

Coding day

I was so excited and surprised when I walked into the exclusive hotel called the Cordis. When we went past the kitchen I smelt delicious food. It made me so hungry.

When we got to the coding room it was so fancy and flash. When I looked up at the chandelier it was so intricate and shiny. All of the laptops were amazing. You could use the mouse or the mouse pad. It was so much fun. You could also relax and feel the air conditioning.

When Sarah and Michael said we are going to use Scratch I was so excited because I like Scratch. We got to choose our own laptops and we got to get a free water bottle, that had the hotel’s name on it.

What we went on Scratch we made our own game called Ghost Busters. We had to get a background and a ghost, then we made the ghost invisible for one second and come back and make it move around. We had to set the scores and the time. Then you could add more characters and play the game. It was so much fun

We also had some people who came to take some photos. We had to explain what we had to do on Scratch. A man came to me and I told him I’m making a game called Ghost Busters and showed him how to make it. The people/visitors came from Israel, South Korea, New Zealand, Estonia and United Kingdom.

Then we we all sat down on the mat. We got awesome certificates from Michael and Sarah. Then it was time to go.

My Experience Moving to Another Country on a Waka

Dear friends,

It's been six days and i'm still at sea. I am exhausted but lucky i packed plenty of food and supplies to keep me energized. The weather has been quite awful. Stormy clouds have started to appear with the sound of thunder coming this way. Luckily, I have caught many fish as well. I feel very excited but also a slight emotion of nervousness. I love you all and hope that you will hear from me soon.
