Hi everyone, today i'm going to be showing you 3 facts that I have learnt about Maui. If you didn't know who Maui is, he is a God of Polynesian, myths and tales. Feel free to comment down  below and stay tuned for more posts.

- The giant fish of Maui, was represented as the north island of New Zealand.
- Maui used hi blood as bait so he smeared it on the magic hook.
- Maui's hook was shaped as a jawbone his ancestor gave him.

  1. Hey Ana,

My name is Megan and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey team who has been working with students participating in the Summer Learning Journey. I am very excited to see that you have decided to join us on this adventure. Today is the last day of the programme but you have plenty of time to do more activities.

What awesome facts you have found out about Maui. I really like how you have acknowledged that the giant fish that Maui caught is today known as the North Island of New Zealand. Do you know what the South Island represents? Maui was such a brave and determined young man who has become very well known for his perseverance. This means that he pushed through any difficulties he faced but continued working hard to succeed in catching the big fish. Can you think of any difficulties he faced on his journey?

Maui is a well known myth legend around the world from New Zealand, through the Pacific Islands, and even Hawaii. There are many stories that include Maui, can you think of any other stories that you may have heard?

What an awesome start to the Summer Learning Journey, I really liked how you included a picture to make your post more interesting.

I hope you have a lovely day,
    Megan :)
